The same thing happened with my grandfather right before he died. My mom and dad stopped by to see him on their way home from somewhere, not expecting anything to be any different (his health had been failing for some time, and he hadn't been able to speak for years), and yet for those few minutes they were there, he woke up and spoke to them, actually spoke to them, for the first time in years. Then a few hours later, he died.

I think God gives us those moments to hold on to until we can see our loved ones again in the next life.Krista Van Dolzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08830193414560232842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013340946541374911.post-21660314431306195402010-11-01T02:17:07.631-07:002010-11-01T02:17:07.631-07:00Aw, it's good to see that even in your loss, y...Aw, it's good to see that even in your loss, you were able to see the humour of that moment.Mimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08100985140335023467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013340946541374911.post-26176137673266553192010-10-31T23:54:50.686-07:002010-10-31T23:54:50.686-07:00Laughter is such a release when you're grievin...Laughter is such a release when you're grieving. The nurses came in and opened the window to release her spirit to Heaven. We just stood there holding hands for a few minutes. I don't remember the rest of the time at the hospital.
