How Green (and Yellow and Orange and Red) is My Valley

The view from my window gives me so much joy.

Yesterday evening.
This morning.
Happy November, everyone!

I love November.
The changing colors.
My son's birthday.
Thanksgiving (one of my favorite holidays).
High school football playoffs.

So much to look forward to!

Are any of you participating in NaNo? (For those of you non-novel-writers, it's a challenge to see who can write an entire novel in a month.)
I'm not participating because my WiP is too alluring and I don't have time for both.
But I wish all of you who are taking the plunge the best of writing-luck.

May your computers never break.
May the plot rise up to meet you.
May the cool days and crisp nights (unless you're on the other side of the equator) kindle the fires of your imaginations.

Now stop reading blogs and go write! I don't even require you to leave a comment. You have better things to do, right? *grin*

  1. I don't!!
    I read, but I don't write!

Lovely pics of your valley, the sky colours are beautiful.

When you've time, do email me your address so I can order your poetry book prize, the email add is in my profile. mimi

  2. Well, I just finished my one-page synopsis, so I owe myself some blog-comment time. Happy November to you as well!

  3. forgot to say, I love November too! wintry evenings to light the fire, all that anticipation of Christmas, and my birthday is in November too!
    It's a good month.

  4. I've never tried NaNo, but I don't think this year will be my year to start. I'm a day or two away from finishing Bob, and my husband and kids have decided I need a break (read: they need me back).

Last year, I saw someone doing National House Cleaning Month. I think that's what I need to do...

The lighting in yesterday's picture is stunning, and the sky in this morning's picture is the same:)

  5. Lovely pictures, Amy. Thanks for sharing. I'm not doing NaNo either. There's no way I could write a novel in a month. My hat is off to all who do. Even if it's only half a novel, it's huge!

  6. Lovely Pictures!!! I'm kinda busy to do NaNo too. I've got a WiP in progress. It's actually the farthest along from my 240 WiP's. OK, just kidding. But I do have at least 10 unfinished ones.

  7. You live in such a beautiful place! I'm not doing NaNo since I just finished draft 1 of my WIP. Now for editing. :)

  8. What a beautiful view! I'm doing NaNoWriMo and yes, I really shouldn't be here right now, LOL! Back to work for me.

  9. Yes, I'm doing my first NaNo, but had to stop and tell you that these pictures are breathtaking. I love the first one!

  10. You're so funny! I already wrote my word count for today, so I'm free to visit your blog AND comment!

I wish you were writing nano with us, but I'm so excited that your wip is so alluring. That's a great sign!

And your photos are gorgeous...made me want to sip hot cocoa.

  11. Wow for telling us NOT to comment, you sure did get a lot!

My excuse, (besides not being a writer with a WIP to work on), is that I HAD to tell you how much I love those pics! Did you do any photo shopping? Or is that the real deal?

*(Hey, am I the only non-writer that hangs out here?)*

  12. I'd love to try it, but between homeschooling, the deluge of doctor/dentist/midwife appointments and just the fact that I'm pregnant and exhausted made me decide that it's not the time!

  13. Lovely pictures, Amy! We had lots of wind last week and lots of our leaves blew off our trees.

  14. What? Comments? I told you all NOT to comment! No, but thanks for all of them. So fun.

Yay for all of you doing Nano!! I'll be cheering from the sidelines.

Krista, I think I need a National Housecleaning Month, too. Uggh.

Kim, no photo shopping. That's the real deal. And it's even more brilliant in person, but I'm not a very good photographer.

Mimi, I'll be in touch. :)

This is my second time writing this comment, so I hope this one posts without a glitch.
