Bits & Pieces

Well, I totally screwed up again. Posted something accidentally that wasn't supposed to post until Thursday. So, if you saw something about a Hacky Sack Club in your Google Reader, but you couldn't click through to it -- now you know why. This is #2 time I have done something like this. *facepalm*

If you wanted to know, I walked around all day with two different earrings in my ears. Yes, it's been that kind of day.

But, the good news is, the wonderful Heather Day Gilbert invited me to guest post on her blog, Book in a Month Mom. Thank you, Heather! The post is >>here<< if you're interested.

AND, there's still time to enter the giveaway for AND THEN YOU WERE GONE by Becky Avella. I know this book will touch your heart if you've ever experienced a pregnancy loss or if you've known someone who has. Click >>here<< to enter. It's super easy--just leave a comment.

Please, please, please don't let my idiocy stop you from coming back and joining the Hacky Sack Club when I really post on Thursday. It's going to be da bomb. Promise. Just ask Janet Johnson.

In the meantime, any embarrassing moments to share so I won't feel so alone?

  1. You've only ever done that twice? You are amazing then. :)

Tomorrow will be awesome! I can't wait. :D

Off to read your guest post!

  2. You could've completed the outfit with mismatched socks and shoes. Like I often do... With 5 sick kids in the house, this is what my life amounts to! :)

  3. What a lovely and encouraging post, Amy. I felt I could've written that bit about having good writing in a novel vs. a good novel.

I'm beyond embarrassment. When I was pregnant with #2, I got stuck on the 520 bridge and I ended up having to pee in the car ... I used a diaper but you know full well that adult bladders are a whole lot bigger than children's. Sigh. Walking around with two different socks, with my shirt inside out and my hair looking like a rat's does not embarrass me one bit (though it does my children).

Oh a tip: baking soda and vinegar are not only good for making volcano explosions, but also cleaning cars when someone has had an accident.

How's that for way too much information?

  4. You are reminding me of when I was pumping gas last year and looked down to see I had two totally different pairs of shoes on. Yep, I rock!

  6. Hi Amy, great to meet you. I do something embarrassing almost every day. But hey, I'm a guy so I don;t have to worry about it. My wife just rolls her eyes hahaha.

  7. I understand having those days. Since having my son I seem to experience them more often!

I found your blog through Heather's post. Great guest post! Looking forward to getting to know you more.

  10. Amy, you crack me up! I've done this before, too. Like, twice in a row. Now I'm paranoid before I click "publish."

  11. Hate when that happens to me! Your readers will definitely forgive you! And I love hacky sacks. I pretended not to see the post early, so I'll come back tomorrow and check it out.

    :)

  12. You have time to play hacky sack? Wow. You're amazing. BTW, what are earrings?

Let's see, just recently realized that the two pairs sweat pants I've been wearing everywhere because they're some of the few articles of leg-clothing I had that still fit were also both riddled with holes. I tend to only look at the front when I spray stain - hadn't noticed the back. You are not alone. Apparently even in playing hacky sack, which I commend you and Janet for. I'm afraid I don't bend well enough to do that any more. I miss the woman who used to do Tai Chi. Sigh.
